The focus in the NHS has been on Quantity
for many years now. However, with waiting times reduced and many
targets achieved, the Darzi report has now shifted the focus towards
Quality. aim will be organising a whole
session at the AAGBI Autumn Congress which concentrates on how we
achieve and demonstrate Quality in anaesthesia, whilst maintaining
Quantity: of interest to all anaesthetists, whether they have management
responsibilities or not.
With

ways of achieving this, by flexible use of all the Anaesthesia Team.
